Four More Shots Please! Season 2 in Istanbul — Prime Video x LPT

Line Production Turkey delivered the full Istanbul line production for the opening episode of Amazon Prime Video’s “Four More Shots Please!” Season 2, produced by Pritish Nandy Communications and directed by Nupur Asthana.

The Istanbul episode marked the series’ first international shoot and opened the second season with its four central characters — Damini, Anjana, Umang and Siddhi — reunited against the backdrop of one of the world’s most visually distinctive cities.

FROM MUMBAI TO ISTANBUL

The project began after months of conversations and production planning between the Indian production team and Line Production Turkey.

Following approximately two months of pre-production, LPT managed an intensive one-week shoot in Istanbul.

Around 70 production members travelled from India, joining approximately 70 local professionals in Türkiye and creating a combined production operation of roughly 140 people.

The production moved through some of Istanbul’s most recognizable neighborhoods and locations, including Balat, Ortaköy and Beyoğlu. Line Production Turkey managed the complete local infrastructure, including crew hiring, location scouting, permits, equipment, logistics, production management and on-set support.

ISTANBUL OPENS SEASON 2

Season 2 begins with the episode “Together Forever?”, in which the four friends reunite during a crisis and reconnect in Istanbul.

Prime Video’s official episode listing specifically places the Season 2 opening story in Istanbul, making the city an actual part of the narrative rather than simply a visual production location.

The Istanbul sequences allowed the series’ friendship-driven storytelling to move into an entirely new environment while maintaining the energy, humor and emotional honesty that defined the first season.

For Line Production Turkey, this presented a particularly exciting production challenge: introducing an established Indian series to a new international location while preserving the visual and narrative continuity of the show.

DIRECTED BY NUPUR ASTHANA

Season 2 was directed by Nupur Asthana, with the four lead roles played by Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Bani J and Maanvi Gagroo.

The series was created by Rangita Pritish Nandy, co-created by Ishita Pritish Nandy and produced by Pritish Nandy Communications.

Prime Video described the second season as a celebration of womanhood, friendship and camaraderie, with a predominantly female cast and crew — a creative identity that made filming the four protagonists together on the streets of Istanbul especially meaningful.

A GLOBAL PRIME VIDEO SUCCESS

Four More Shots Please! Season 2 premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 17 April 2020 and was made available in more than 200 countries and territories.

Its performance quickly exceeded expectations.

In May 2020, Amazon Prime Video announced that Season 2 had become its most-watched show from India that year, prompting the platform to officially greenlight a third season only weeks after Season 2’s launch.

Aparna Purohit, then Head of Amazon Originals at Prime Video India, described the response as “phenomenal” and said Season 2 had set another benchmark for the franchise.

For Line Production Turkey, the success meant that an episode produced across Istanbul with a large Turkish-Indian crew became the opening chapter of one of Prime Video India’s most successful series of the year.

A FRANCHISE WITH INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

The wider Four More Shots Please! franchise also achieved important international recognition.

In 2020, the series was nominated for *Best Comedy at the International Emmy Awards. The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences identifies it as the first nomination for an Indian comedy* in the category.

The nomination related to the first season, released in 2019, but it demonstrated the international momentum of the franchise that Line Production Turkey became part of with Season 2’s Istanbul opening.

PRITISH NANDY COMMUNICATIONS x LINE PRODUCTION TURKEY

For Line Production Turkey, Four More Shots Please! represents an important milestone in the company’s international television and streaming portfolio.

The project required LPT to integrate a large incoming Indian production team with Türkiye’s local filmmaking infrastructure while supporting the standards of an Amazon Original production.

It also demonstrated Istanbul’s versatility as a location for international streaming content — not only commercials or feature films, but major scripted series intended for audiences in hundreds of countries.

Line Production Turkey’s current portfolio continues to list Four More Shots Please! among its featured international productions, with Pritish Nandy Communications as the production company and LPT responsible for the Türkiye line production.
