London Nahi Jaunga in Istanbul — ARY Films x LPT

Presented by ARY Films, Salman Iqbal Films and Six Sigma Plus, the film became one of Pakistan’s major theatrical successes of 2022. Its official trailer was released by ARY Films on 11 June 2022 before the film reached cinemas during the Eid-ul-Adha period.

15 DAYS OF FILMING ACROSS ISTANBUL

For the Türkiye chapter of the feature film, Line Production Turkey managed an intensive 15-day production across Istanbul.

The shoot covered a wide variety of locations, including Adile Sultan Palace, Beyrut Performance, Maltepe, Cumhuriyet Köy, Bomonti and Şişli, Beykoz Kundura, Öyümce, Çengelköy and Kalamış.

Each location served a different part of the story — from interiors and mansion sequences to bar scenes, musical performances, outdoor environments, horse-farm sequences, restaurants and exhibition settings.

This diversity allowed Istanbul to function not merely as a background, but as an important part of the film’s international visual identity.

ARY FILMS x LINE PRODUCTION TURKEY

For the Istanbul production, Line Production Turkey provided the local infrastructure required by the international filmmaking team.

LPT’s involvement included location management, production planning, permits, local crew and equipment coordination, transportation, logistics and on-set production services throughout the 15-day schedule.

International company credits also identify Line Production Turkey in both line-production and production roles on the film.

The project brought a major Pakistani cast and production team to Türkiye and created another production bridge between the Turkish and Pakistani film industries.

During filming, producer Irfan Malik told Anadolu Agency that Türkiye had become like a “second home” to him, highlighting the country’s technical filmmaking facilities and strong television-production infrastructure.

A STAR-LED PAKISTANI FEATURE FILM

Directed by Nadeem Baig and written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, London Nahi Jaunga brings together some of Pakistan’s most recognizable screen talent.

The cast includes Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, Kubra Khan, Gohar Rasheed, Vasay Chaudhry, Sohail Ahmed, Saba Faisal, Saba Hameed and Asif Raza Mir.

The story follows Sara as the discovery of her mother’s diary forces her to question her family history and identity, eventually leading her toward Pakistan, unresolved family conflicts and a relationship with Chaudhary Jameel.

The combination of romance, family drama, comedy and international locations helped position the film as a major Eid theatrical release.

FROM ISTANBUL PRODUCTION TO BOX-OFFICE SUCCESS

London Nahi Jaunga went on to become a significant commercial success.

ARY Digital reported that the film surpassed *PKR 500 million — 50 crore — at the worldwide box office*, placing it among a small group of Pakistani films at the time to cross that milestone. ARY also highlighted its particularly strong performance in UK cinemas.

The film’s success gives the Istanbul production additional significance for Line Production Turkey: LPT was not simply supporting an overseas shoot, but contributing to a Pakistani feature film that ultimately reached large audiences across domestic and international markets.

ISTANBUL AS AN INTERNATIONAL FILMING DESTINATION

The project also demonstrates why Istanbul continues to attract major international film productions.

Within a single city, the London Nahi Jaunga team was able to move between historic architecture, contemporary interiors, waterfront environments, studio facilities, rural settings and large-scale production locations.

For Line Production Turkey, managing a 15-day feature-film schedule of this scale required much more than location access. It required integrating an international filmmaking team with Türkiye’s local crews, technical infrastructure and production network while maintaining continuity across multiple locations.

The result became another example of LPT’s core international production model:
